So, I heard through the grapevine that a bunch of BBC people found my entry about Elijah last week. This would account for the sudden spike in traffic on Monday. Up until now I never was very interested in the traffic statistics on my blog, but this week I've been checking them every day, because spikes are exciting! Stick around, y'all!
The year is winding down, and the choruses are going on vacation. So your options for this weekend are not exactly hrair. In fact, I can find one choral option.
Saturday:
Musica Sacra is performing at 8:00 pm at First Church Congregational in Cambridge. The program is called "Summer Nights on the Water," and will feature Carissimi's Baroque cantata Jonah, African-American spirituals and works of Górecki, Brahms, Whitacre and Delius. (Quite a variety!) I've never been to a Musica Sacra concert yet, but I've noticed that Mary Beekman, the director, tends to be really good at programming, so I suggest you check them out.
That's all I got. Let me know if I missed anything!
About the spikes . . .
ReplyDeleteI featured you on ChoralNet earlier this week . . . that might have been one of the reasons. Really enjoy your posts and I keep up with the blog.
Keep it up!

ReplyDeleteWhoa, awesome! Thank you! I will start checking out the ChoralNet blog from now on...usually I only head to your site when I am feeling especially unemployed. :)
